Keynote Speech Writer

A keynote has one job: to leave a room of busy, distracted people thinking differently on the way out than they did on the way in. That takes more than good slides. It takes a clear argument, a story worth following, and language built to be heard rather than read. That's what I write.

I'm Adrian Simpson. I spent fifteen years in television and have written professionally for the spoken word for over a decade. I'll turn your expertise into a keynote that sounds like you at your most assured, and lands with the people in front of you.

Keynote Speech Writer, All Speeches Great & Small

What you get

  • One clear, memorable argument, not a tour of everything you could possibly say.
  • A narrative spine that carries the audience from first line to final point.
  • Written for the ear, shaped for rhythm, emphasis and the pauses that let a point land.
  • Pitched to your audience and slot, whether it opens a conference or closes one.
  • Written in your voice, with unlimited revisions until it sounds unmistakably like you.

How it works

  1. We talk through your message. Your expertise, the audience, the event, and the one thing you want them to remember.
  2. I write the talk. A complete, structured keynote with a clear argument and a story to carry it.
  3. We refine it together. We shape and tighten it until it’s ready for the stage.

Frequently asked questions

How involved do I need to be?

As involved as you’d like. Most clients give me an hour of conversation and their raw material; I do the writing and shaping from there, and we refine together.

Will it sound like me, not like a writer?

Yes. I ghostwrite in your voice. The aim is that your audience hears you at your most articulate, never a script.

Do you write the slides too?

I write the talk and can advise on where slides help or hurt. A great keynote works even if the screen fails.

Is everything confidential?

Completely. I’m happy to work under an NDA and routinely handle commercially sensitive material with discretion.

How is it priced?

Corporate work is quoted per project, as scope and timeline vary. Tell me about your event and I’ll send a tailored proposal.

Can’t I just use ChatGPT or AI?

You can, but brace yourself. I’ve tested it thoroughly: AI lists your facts in order, can’t judge what’s appropriate, and — fatally for a speech — it can’t be funny. It arranges words; it can’t find the story only you can tell or read a room. Here’s what happened when I put ChatGPT to the test →
